[Image taken 7.2.23] Former Bootham Hospital grounds, junction with Bootham, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location] Cobbles, pedestrians crossing, massively compromised sight lines. Can you see or be seen enough to be sure you are safe to exit and turn right? Including at night? Cyclists and cyclists are not lit on the side… There is someone on a cycle behind the tree to the right... You can glimpse (nothing more) the flash of the yellow of the hi viz jacket. And if he hadn’t stopped? Or can get up speed from a standstill fast (as with an e-cycle perhaps)? Or if it had been a hire e-scooter? (Fast moving and the riders don’t usually wear hi viz.) Or the person emerging from the hospital grounds proceeded through an orange light or as the lights changed…? Context and links: #190860.
