Junction 7 has 12 toucan crossings . 11 have green phases synchronised to the junction phases. This is the only crossing that does not have a green phase . Is this dangerous especially when sun glare/reflections are a hazard ? People will presume that when the southbound traffic joining the M60 to Stockport from the A56 is on green phase they will be allowed to cross. Vulnerable users will be waiting a long time until another active travel user arrives. Physically fit people will be frustrated to press the button and obliged to wait every time and significantly longer than the equivalent phase on the South side. Is it likely these people will risk crossing on the red phase ? Is it likely that cyclists will choose the riskier (very scary) on road route rather than the safer but inconvenient waiting at the toucan ? Is it also a possibility that active travel users will be put off completely and choose the car instead ? See also #152134
