The car park is owned by National Trust. Consequently legitimate users are deprived from using NCN62 TPT. The latest Highways England standard OCT 2016 www.cycling-embassy.org.uk/dictionary/access-barrier states that these barriers must not be used at all, because they prevent access by various types of cycle, as well as other types of mobility aid, including wheelchairs and mobility scooters. This barrier needs widening and hi viz attached to barrier. widened enough to allow cyclists to cycle through but prevent illegal motor car access
